Brunch Club 4
Dragon City, home of the reincarnated Vikings of the Viking Archipelago, didn't belong to any country. They're primarily isolated and concealed on a large island with only one bridge to connect to the continent. In the past, Ragnarok almost occurred, forcing them to flee. They traversed the ocean and came to this new land that once belonged to what would become the USA. However, it broke off centuries ago. Thus, Dragon City was self-sufficient and only dealt with outsiders if the need called for it. The Norse Pantheon also took turns living on the island while shielding it from outside forces. Right now, Valka Haddock waited anxiously in her beautiful living room. She expected her best friends Frigha and Odyis to come for a small brunch. She also hoped her family guardian, Kara, could make it. At precisely nine, Frigha and Odyis showed up. Both ladies were breathtakingly gorgeous and dressed exceptionally stylishly. Exactly twenty minutes later, Kara materialized in her Valkyrie form, which she quickly swapped for her human form. After making sure everyone had a strong cup of coffee and a plate full of food, Valka got to the point of why she invited them over. She needed to get off her chest all the things that made her overwhelmed and anxious. The other ladies agreed they all needed to express their intense emotions. Therefore, Valka explained what she was worried about. She was concerned for her children's safety and well as what their futures might hold. She explained that she had recently seen on the news regarding the closest country to them, the USA. She was distraught that the atrocities, such as banning books and abortion, might somehow spill over here. She wanted her children to have the freedom to read whatever they wanted. She would much rather they read than play video games or be on toxic social media. She was also troubled regarding all women having the right to control their own bodies taken from them. Despite her youngest and only daughter, Una, having talked about that problem with Queen Moon Shadow of the Dragon Kingdom? Sadly, plenty of countries seemed not to understand they had no right to force their will on someone else. Queen Moon Shadow had made it unmistakable that just because she was queen, it didn't give her the right to take away someone's right to choose what was best for them. Frigha then spoke up concerning the mounting brutality that was becoming normalized. Furthermore, she feared all the hatred in the world and how it would impact the younger generation. Specifically those of the LGBTQ or individuals dealing with mental health. She felt they were most endangered again because of the state of the world. How racism, violence, and ignorance were piling up, and it would only cause more psychological trauma to those who had every right to be themselves. Nor should anyone have to fear for their lives by being themselves. Odyis added she continuously agonized about her children's mental state. Like Valka's children all had various mental issues, so did Odyis's children Dagur and Heather. She also feared more individuals would push toxic beliefs onto others. She respected everyone's right to practice their faith if they chose to do so. Nevertheless, she didn't accept when it became toxic and again overridden what individuals wanted for themselves or made them fear for their lives. Kara made it clear that the myriad of godly pantheons and her husband Azrael, the leader of the Angels of Death, were working with God to figure out ways to protect the human race. But, short of forcing their will upon humanity, they couldn't figure out what to do. The only way to save society would be to take away all weapons, whether they're firearms or social media, and take away everyone's hateful words. Yet again, it came down to free will, which everyone agreed they didn't want to take away from others. For now, they could only pray that none of the toxic influence of the outside world touched Dragon City and that the Norse Gods kept protecting it. There was so much fear and danger yet to come. This time, Ragnarok might entirely come to pass and annihilate everyone in the universe....
